Thugs Disrupt APC Senate Primary in Ondo State

During the APC Senate primary held in Akur, Ondo State, thugs disrupted the voting process, leading to injuries among party members. Senator Adeniyi Adegbomir, who was casting his vote, reported that armed thugs invaded the venue at Ebenez Primary School in Okilisa Ward 5, starting to shoot sporadically.

This caused panic among voters, who fled for safety, resulting in a stampede. Adegbomir described the attack as politically motivated and expressed his displeasure over the incident.

He noted that the disruption occurred while votes were being counted, with Taiwo Fasoranti, another aspirant, present. The chaos led to the suspension of the electoral exercise, which was initially announced by the Electoral Committee led by Mr. Iboroma Dabib at the party secretariat.

The thugs allegedly stormed the secretariat as well, further disrupting the electoral process.
