Tinubu Urges Osun Residents to Vote Freely Amid Security

President Bola Tinubu, represented by Senate President Godswill Akpabio, addressed the people of Osun State, encouraging them to vote for their preferred candidates in the upcoming governorship election without fear of intimidation. During the All Progressives Congress (APC) campaign finale, Tinubu assured citizens that adequate security measures were in place to ensure a free, fair, and credible election.

He urged political stakeholders to avoid violence and harassment. Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke condemned recent political violence in Esa Oke, ordering increased security in the area.

Inspector-General of Police Olatunji Disu announced a ban on state-established security outfits from participating in election security duties, aligning with Nigeria Police Force directives. Akpabio presented the APC flag to governorship candidate Bola Oyebamiji, emphasizing the party's confidence in winning the election based on the large turnout at the rally.
