Tinubu Promises Security for Osun State Election Voters

With less than 48 hours until the Osun State governorship election on August 15, 2026, President Bola Tinubu has assured voters of their safety. This assurance was communicated by Senate President Godswill Akpabio during an All Progressives Congress (APC) mega rally in Osogbo.

Akpabio, representing Tinubu, urged citizens to turn out en masse to vote without fear of intimidation. He emphasized that the President has implemented sufficient security measures to ensure a peaceful voting process.

Akpabio highlighted Tinubu's commitment to democracy and urged voters to choose wisely, linking Osun State's governance with the Federal Government. He was joined at the rally by notable APC figures, including Chief Bisi Akande, Prof Nentawe Yilwatda, and several state governors.

Akpabio reassured voters that they would not face harassment and encouraged them to disregard negative sentiments on social media, focusing instead on participating in the election.
