Tinubu Appoints Masari as APC Logistics Chief for 2027

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has appointed Ibrahim Masari, the All Progressives Congress (APC)’s former vice-presidential placeholder, as Deputy Director General for Logistics and Operations in the party’s 223-member structure ahead of the January 2027 elections. This appointment signals the commencement of campaign activities for the upcoming elections.

Masari, who is from Katsina State, was initially named as Tinubu's running mate in 2022 but later stepped aside for Kashim Shettima, the former governor of Borno State, who is now the incumbent Vice President. Since then, Masari has served as Tinubu's senior special assistant on political affairs and special adviser on political affairs.

His new role places him at the forefront of the campaign's logistical and operational coordination, which is crucial given Nigeria's geographical complexities. The APC is actively assembling its organizational structure in preparation for the electoral contest.
