Matawalle Appointed APC Campaign Security Deputy Director

Bello Matawalle, the Minister of State for Defence, has been appointed as the Deputy Director, Security and Intelligence 1 of the 2027 All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. This appointment places Matawalle at the core of the campaign's security and intelligence framework, where he will coordinate security arrangements for campaign activities across Nigeria.

His responsibilities include overseeing the security architecture to protect candidates, campaign officials, and supporters, as well as gathering intelligence and assessing risks. Matawalle will collaborate with relevant security agencies to identify potential threats and develop mitigation strategies.
