Tinubu Approves Ado-Ijan-Ilumoba-Ikole Road Reconstruction

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved the long-awaited reconstruction of the Ado-Ijan-Ilumoba-Ikole road, a major federal highway in Ekiti State. This initiative is anticipated to boost transportation and economic activities across the state.

The project will be financed by the federal government, reflecting the administration's commitment to improving critical road infrastructure nationwide. A letter conveying this approval was dated July 1, 2026, and addressed to Minister of Works Dave Umahi and Nigeria Revenue Service Chairman Zach Adedeji, with a copy sent to Ekiti State Governor Biodun Oyebanji.

This approval follows an earlier one for the Itawure-Aramoko-Ado-Ekiti road, demonstrating a continued focus on road infrastructure. The Ado-Ijan-Ilumoba-Ikole road serves as a vital link to several key economic assets, including federal institutions and the Ekiti Knowledge Zone.

Governor Oyebanji expressed appreciation for the approval, emphasizing the administration's resolve to modernize infrastructure across the country.
