Tinubu Cancels Ogun Trip, Heads to Jos After Killings

President Bola Tinubu has adjusted his travel schedule, canceling a planned visit to Iperu, Ogun State, which was set for April 1, 2026, due to recent killings in the area. His presidential spokesperson, Bayo Onanuga, announced that Tinubu will instead travel to Jos, Plateau State, to meet with the governor and residents.

Following this visit, he is expected to return to Lagos for the Good Friday period and will travel to Ogun State on April 4 to officially launch the operations of the Gateway International Cargo Airport. During this visit, he will unveil two commercial aircraft aimed at supporting the movement of goods and business activities in the state.

Additionally, Tinubu will open a newly completed federal operations unit of the Nigerian Customs Service and present operational vehicles. After these engagements, he will return to Abuja and is scheduled to visit Bayelsa State on April 10 to open completed projects under Governor Douye Diri.
