Tinubu Urges Team Nigeria for World Relays Success

President Bola Tinubu has charged Team Nigeria to deliver strong performances at the upcoming World Relays in Gaborone, Botswana. Bukola Olopade, the Director of the National Sports Commission, conveyed this message during an address to athletes and officials following their final training session.

He highlighted the significance of the World Relays as a major event that serves as a qualifying pathway for future global championships. Olopade noted that Nigeria has previously won medals at this event, including bronze in 2014 and gold in 2015, and emphasized the importance of the relays in Nigeria's sports culture.

He urged athletes to compete with determination and a strong sense of responsibility, representing not only themselves but also their country and various states. The Chairman of the National Sports Commission, Shehu Dikko, also extended best wishes to the team ahead of the competition, underscoring the high stakes attached to the relays as Nigeria aims to qualify for major global competitions.
