Tinubu Condemns Killing of Abducted Teacher in Oyo

President Bola Tinubu condemned the reported killing of an abducted teacher in Esiel Community, Oriir Local Government Area, Oyo State. The incident occurred when bandits invaded the community, leading to the abduction of staff and students from the Community Grammar School and Baptist Nursery Primary School.

In a statement issued on Monday by his spokesperson, Bayo Onanuga, Tinubu expressed his condolences to Governor Seyi Makinde and the people of Oyo State. He assured that the federal government would collaborate with the state government to rescue the victims.

Tinubu also commended the efforts of the Inspector General of Police and the police commissioners in Oyo and Kwara states for their quick intervention and deployment of tactical intelligence response teams. He emphasized the need for a tech-driven operation to achieve breakthroughs against the bandits and stated that local collaborators would face the full wrath of the law.

Furthermore, he called for the establishment of state police to enhance security in underserved areas.
