President Tinubu Returns to Nigeria, Dismisses Health Rumors

President Bola Tinubu returned to Nigeria on September 29 after a four-week working vacation in Europe, which began on August 30. He stated he is in good health and ready to resume his official responsibilities, dismissing concerns about his health as political rumors.

Upon his arrival in Lagos from Paris, Tinubu expressed enjoyment during his vacation and confirmed he is "healthy, sound, and ready to go." Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon Tajudeen Abbas, welcomed Tinubu and expressed hope that his rest would lead to increased activity in governance. During his time in Europe, Tinubu met with French President Emmanuel Macron and businessman Vincent Bolloré, and witnessed the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between Ogun State Government and DP World for a deep seaport project.

Initially announced as a three-week vacation, his stay was extended by a few days, prompting discussions about his health and constitutional implications.
