Presidential Media Aide Peter Onwubuariri Passes Away

Peter Onwubuariri, who served as the Assistant Director of Media at the Presidential Villa, died at the age of 48 in Kano after a prolonged illness. His wife, Catherine Ezinna Onwubuariri, confirmed his death, which occurred on Monday after he had been receiving treatment for about a month at the Kano Cancer Hospital, authorized by the state government.

Following his passing, his remains were released from the Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital on Tuesday for burial in Owerri, Imo State. The handover of his corpse was conducted by Sanusi Dawakin-Tofa, spokesperson for Kano State Governor Abba Yusuf, to Oche Egwa, Deputy Director of Information and Public Relations at the State House, on behalf of Bayo Onanuga, the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy.
