Tinubu Nominates Joseph Tegbe as New Minister of Power

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has officially nominated Joseph Olasunkanmi Tegbe as the new Minister of Power. This announcement was made by the President's spokesperson, Bayo Onanuga, on Thursday.

The nomination comes after the resignation of the former Minister, Adebayo Adelabu, who stepped down to pursue an electoral office. Joseph Olasunkanmi Tegbe is recognized as a fiscal and economic reform expert with 35 years of experience spanning both the public and private sectors.

He previously served as a senior partner and head of advisory services at KPMG Africa, where he led various initiatives related to fiscal policy reform. Currently, he is the director of the Nigeria-China Strategic Partnership (NCSP), which focuses on strengthening bilateral development cooperation between Nigeria and the People's Republic of China.

The nomination will be transmitted to the Senate for screening and confirmation in accordance with constitutional requirements.
