Tinubu Swears in Muttaqha Darma as Housing Minister

On Friday, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu administered the oath of office to Muttaqha Rabe Darma as the new Minister of Housing and Urban Development. This appointment follows the Senate's clearance and the resignation of the previous minister, Ahm Musa Dangiwa.

The swearing-in ceremony took place at the State House, where President Tinubu congratulated Darma, emphasizing the challenges ahead for national development and the need for capable leadership. Darma is recognized as a distinguished Nigerian scholar and an expert in administrative development, holding a Doctorate in Business Administration from the University of Liverpool and a Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering from Atlantic International University in the USA.

He also earned a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Bayero University Kano and a Master's in Manufacturing Engineering from the University of Benin. His previous roles include serving as the Executive Secretary of the Petroleum Technology Development Fund from 2008 to 2012 and various positions in Katsina State's housing and transport sectors.
