Oyo APC Launches Women’s Group for Tinubu's Re-election

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State inaugurated the state chapter of the Tinubu Torch Bearers (TTB), a women-led support group, on Monday at the Obafemi Awolowo Stadium in Ibadan. The event featured the First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, represented by the Minister of Women Affairs and Social Development, Hajiya Imaan Sulaiman-Ibrahim.

Sulaiman-Ibrahim urged women and APC supporters to mobilize for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and other APC candidates directly at the grassroots level, emphasizing the importance of translating support into votes for the 2027 elections. Senator Sharafadeen Alli, the APC governorship candidate, praised the initiative as a vital step for strengthening the party's grassroots machinery and committed to good governance and unity.

Deputy governorship candidate Adesoji Adedeji also encouraged TTB members to extend their activities to every ward and community. Alhaja Zulfah Adeyemi Adetunji, the Oyo State Coordinator of TTB, stated that the inauguration marks a new phase of grassroots mobilization for the group.
