Tinubu Plans Major Investment in Police Reform Initiatives

On Tuesday, President Bola Tinubu revealed plans to deepen investment in police training, intelligence gathering, and modern law enforcement systems, which are integral to his administration's broader agenda to transform the Nigerian Police Force (NPF) into a world-class institution. During a speech in Abuja, Tinubu emphasized the necessity of security for national progress, stating that no nation can thrive without a secure social environment.

He acknowledged the sacrifices made by police officers and reiterated the government's commitment to improving their welfare and working conditions. Tinubu called for a collaborative relationship between citizens and law enforcement agencies to foster trust and enhance security.

He also addressed Inspector General of Police Olatunji Disu, urging the NPF to rise above indiscipline and misconduct.
