US Firm Predicts Public Embarrassment for Tinubu in NY

Von Batten-Montague-York, a United States-based political advisory and lobbying firm, has dismissed rumors that Nigerian President Bola Tinubu could be arrested during his attendance at the United Nations General Assembly in New York. The firm stated there is no plan for his arrest concerning allegations of heroin smuggling.

However, it warned that Tinubu might experience public embarrassment during the visit. The firm reiterated that efforts to arrange a meeting between Tinubu and US President Donald Trump would not be successful, citing past allegations against Tinubu as a reason for the inappropriateness of such an engagement.

The firm claimed that the FBI has linked Tinubu to a criminal organization involved in heroin trafficking from Nigeria to the United States during the 1980s and 1990s. Additionally, it referenced a 1993 civil forfeiture case where Tinubu forfeited $460,000 to the American government.
