Timi Frank Urges Tinubu to Heed Bishops' Advice

Timi Frank, the former Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), issued a statement in Abuja on Sunday, urging President Bola Tinubu to heed the advice from the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of Nigeria (CBCN). Frank warned that failing to do so could result in an “embarrassing defeat” in the upcoming 2027 election.

He praised the bishops for their bravery in confronting the President regarding Nigeria's economic challenges and for warning against any actions that could undermine the country's democracy. Frank commended the Catholic leaders for their courage, stating that such forthrightness from religious leaders has been rare in Nigeria.

He advised President Tinubu to follow the bishops’ recommendations to avoid political repercussions, emphasizing that they are true leaders and expressing hope that other religious organizations would emulate the example set by the Catholic bishops.
