FG Confident Tinubu Will Win 2027 Election

The Federal Government has asserted that President Bola Tinubu will secure another term in the 2027 presidential election, dismissing opposition claims from Peter Obi and Rabiu Kwankwaso regarding the potential defeat of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC). Defence Minister Christopher Musa stated during an appearance on Channels Television’s Politics Today that there is no substantial basis for claims of declining support for the APC in northern Nigeria.

He expressed confidence that the APC would retain Kaduna State, stating, “APC will win in Kaduna. That I know,” and emphasized that this prediction applies to all levels of elections, including presidential and governorship.

Musa attributed perceptions of widespread opposition to personal frustrations rather than actual political realities. He defended the President's economic policies, acknowledging their painful nature but asserting that their benefits would become evident over time.

Musa's comments followed statements by Obi and Kwankwaso in Rivers State, where they rallied support for the upcoming elections.
