Tinubu's Govt Approves N68.7bn For Solar Projects in Universities, Hospitals, Full List Emerges

The recent Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting chaired by President Bola Tinubu approved a N68.7 billion solar project initiative for universities and healthcare facilities across Nigeria. The project, with a timeline of seven to nine months, aims to improve the learning environment, research capacity, and electricity reliability in key academic and medical institutions.

Some of the universities benefiting from this initiative include the University of Lagos (UNILAG), Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), University of Nigeria (UNN), and University of Ibadan (UI). Additionally, the University College Hospital (UCH) in Ibadan and the Federal University Wukari are also set to benefit from the solar project.

The initiative is part of efforts to enhance education and healthcare infrastructure in Nigeria.
