Wike Urges Abuja Contractors to Meet Infrastructure Deadlines

Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, reminded contractors on Wednesday to adhere to deadlines for infrastructure projects across Abuja as the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu approaches its third anniversary. During an inspection tour of several projects, including the Jahi-Gwarimpa interchange, airport road, and Kuje-Gwagwalada road, Wike commended the contractors for their work but stressed the importance of maintaining quality and meeting timelines.

He expressed optimism that the airport road project would be completed within a week and that the Kuje-Gwagwalada road was progressing steadily. Wike highlighted the significance of the Citi Gate project, managed by Julius Berger, describing it as a landmark development that would enhance Abuja's entry point.

He cautioned contractors to align with government timelines for project inaugurations scheduled for the anniversary celebrations. Wike also mentioned several major projects expected to be commissioned during this period, including a water treatment plant and various road developments.
