Wike Plans Abuja Road Projects Commissioning by May

On Wednesday, Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), announced that major road infrastructure projects in Abuja are set to be completed by May, with a commissioning event involving President Bola Ahmed Tinubu planned as part of the third anniversary celebration. Wike assured that he would oversee the timely delivery of these projects, which include significant corridors such as the interchange handled by China Geo Engineering Corporation (CGC) and the airport road stretch executed by Gilmor Engineering Nigeria Limited.

During his inspection tour, Wike expressed satisfaction with the pace and quality of work being done by the contractors, specifically praising CGC and Arab Contractor for their impressive performance. He emphasized the importance of maintaining momentum and ensuring that contractors fulfill their commitments by the end of May.
