Obi and Kwankwaso Alliance Threatens Tinubu's 2027 Bid

Habib Mai Lemo, the spokesperson for the Kwankwasiyya Movement, emphasized that the collaboration between Peter Obi and Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso poses a substantial challenge to President Bola Tinubu's prospects in the 2027 elections. During an interview with Trust TV, Mai Lemo highlighted the growing online support for this political alliance, which aims to bridge regional divides in Nigeria, particularly between the northern and southern regions.

He noted that both Obi and Kwankwaso command strong grassroots support across various regions of the country, which could significantly influence electoral outcomes. Mai Lemo recalled previous attempts to form similar alliances ahead of the 2023 general elections that did not materialize but maintained that the current collaboration remains viable.

He asserted that the alliance would help consolidate support across Nigeria and that it would be easier to sell to the populace, ultimately declaring that Tinubu's ticket would be "dead on arrival" if Obi and Kwankwaso worked together.
