Tinubu Set for September Visit to Akwa Ibom State

Governor Umo Eno of Akwa Ibom State has invited President Bola Tinubu to visit the state and inaugurate several projects executed over the past three years. The visit is anticipated to occur in September and may last two days, with details still being finalized.

This would be Tinubu's 14th state visit since he assumed office, having previously visited states including Lagos, Enugu, and Ogun, among others. Eno expressed hope that Tinubu would attend in person, citing their cordial relationship and Eno's support for the President.

The projects slated for inauguration include the Arise Palm Resort, the Nsit Atai – Okobo Road, and a new airport terminal building. The Tropicana Complex, which includes the International Convention Centre and Tropicana Hotel, is also nearing completion.

Eno's governance approach is characterized by a focus on completing projects regardless of their origin, which he refers to as "finisher’s anointing.".
