Togo Seeks Increased Power Supply from Nigeria

During a strategic meeting over the weekend, Togo's delegation, led by Mr. D.

Bo K. Mba Barandao, Director General of Compagnie Énergétique du Togo (CET), requested an increase in power supply from Nigeria.

The meeting involved management from the Niger Delta Power Holding Company (NDPHC) and aimed to strengthen existing collaborations while exploring opportunities to expand cross-border electricity trade. The request is part of Togo's efforts to sustain quality, reliable, and affordable power supply for households, businesses, and public institutions.

Mr. Barandao praised NDPHC for its consistent electricity supply and highlighted the importance of the partnership in improving power reliability within Togo's electricity network.

The collaboration is expected to benefit both organizations and strengthen regional energy cooperation in West Africa, particularly as Togo experiences an increase in electricity demand due to new industrial and commercial users.
