Ajax Signs Nigerian Striker Tolu Arokodare on Loan

Ajax has reached an agreement with Wolverhampton Wanderers to sign Nigerian striker Tolu Arokodare on an initial loan deal, which includes an option to make the transfer permanent for €22 million. This development was confirmed by football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano on Monday, who indicated that negotiations have concluded and the deal is awaiting the completion of formalities.

Ajax will cover Arokodare’s full salary during the loan period and will also pay a loan fee to Wolves. The option to purchase is non-compulsory, allowing Ajax to decide whether to activate it based on Arokodare's performance.

Arokodare declined offers from clubs in Turkey and Italy, opting for Ajax due to their sporting project and the opportunity for first-team football. The move is seen as a significant step in his career, enhancing his chances of becoming a regular member of the Super Eagles.

At the time of this report, Ajax and Wolverhampton Wanderers had not yet made an official announcement regarding the transfer.
