Savinho Becomes Savio After £75m Move to Tottenham

Savinho, whose full name is Savio Moreira de Oliveira, has officially changed his name back to Savio following his £75m transfer from Manchester City to Tottenham on August 25. The 22-year-old Brazilian winger had been known as Savinho during his two-year tenure at Manchester City, where he made 84 appearances wearing the No. 26 shirt.

The name change is a return to the name he used throughout his career before joining the Premier League. Savio explained that the name Savinho was adopted during his time with the Brazilian national team and at Manchester City, but he is now ready to revert to Savio.

He will wear the number 17 shirt at Tottenham. Savio expressed his happiness about the move, citing the opportunity to work with one of the best managers in the world.

Tottenham's head coach, Roberto De Zerbi, praised Savio's qualities, while sporting director Johan Lange noted the club had been tracking him for some time.
