PDP Calls for Peace and Unity During Maulud Celebration

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) issued a Maulud message on Tuesday, calling on Nigerians to embrace the values of peace, justice, and unity as exemplified by Prophet Muhammad (SAW). The statement, released by the party's National Publicity Secretary, Mr Jungudo Mohammed, emphasized the importance of compassion, honesty, and love for humanity, which are relevant to Nigeria's current challenges.

The PDP urged citizens to reflect on these virtues during the Maulud Nabi celebration and to promote mutual respect and peaceful coexistence, regardless of religious, ethnic, or political differences. The party's message also addressed ongoing issues of insecurity, political tensions, and social divisions in Nigeria, advocating for greater national cohesion and responsible leadership.

Additionally, the PDP called for prayers for peace and stability in the country, as well as divine guidance for political leaders at all levels, emphasizing the need for wisdom and courage in governance.
