Tinubu Unveils Tech Strategy Against Insecurity in Nigeria

President Bola Tinubu revealed a technology-driven approach to tackle insecurity in Nigeria at the 2026 African Land Forces Forum held in Port Harcourt, River State. He emphasized the government's commitment to deploying emerging technologies to enhance military operations and combat readiness.

Tinubu highlighted the importance of sustainable research and development efforts as part of the strategy to advance technology and strengthen homegrown innovations. He acknowledged the Nigerian Army's role in safeguarding national integrity and praised the sacrifices of soldiers.

The event, which was organized in collaboration with the African Land Forces Forum, also featured Vice President Kashim Shettima, who vowed to end insecurity in Nigeria. Tinubu commended the leadership of Lt.

Gen. Waidi Shaibu, Chief of Army Staff, for their efforts in managing the event and fostering regional cooperation in defense and security.

The forum aimed to address contemporary security challenges and enhance Nigeria's defense diplomacy.
