Transcorp Group Reports ₦241.5bn Revenue in H1 2026

Transnational Corporation Plc, a leading listed conglomerate in Africa, announced its half-year 2026 unaudited financial results, revealing a revenue of ₦241.5 billion, a decline from ₦279.0 billion in the same period of 2025. Profit before tax fell to ₦75.9 billion from ₦85.7 billion, while profit after tax decreased to ₦54.4 billion from ₦65.2 billion.

Earnings per share also dropped to 323 kobo from 408 kobo in H1 2025. Despite these declines, total equity rose to ₦367.8 billion from ₦353.4 billion as of December 2025, and cash and cash equivalents were ₦20.8 billion, down from ₦21.9 billion.

Owen D. Omogiafo, President/Group CEO, emphasized the company's operational discipline and efficiency amid challenges in the power sector, including gas supply constraints.

The Group Chief Finance Officer, Festus Izevbizua, noted an increase in profit-before-tax margin to 31.4% due to cost optimization efforts.
