Transcorp H1 2026 Results: ₦241.5bn Revenue, Interim Dividend

Transnational Corporation Plc has filed its unaudited half-year 2026 financial results on the Nigerian Exchange. The filing discloses revenue of ₦241.5 billion, a profit before tax of ₦75.9 billion, and the declaration of an interim dividend.
Transnational Corporation Plc (NGX: TRANSCORP) released its unaudited H1 2026 financial results on July 22, 2026, reporting revenue of ₦241.5 billion, down from ₦279.0 billion in H1 2025. Profit before tax came in at ₦75.9 billion, compared to ₦85.7 billion in the prior period, while profit after tax stood at ₦54.4 billion, against ₦65.2 billion in H1 2025. Earnings per share declined to 323 kobo from 408 kobo a year earlier.
Despite the lower revenue and profit figures, the company's profit-before-tax margin expanded to 31.4% from 30.7% in the prior period, which management attributed to cost optimisation and operational efficiency. Total equity grew to ₦367.8 billion from ₦353.4 billion recorded in December 2025, while cash and cash equivalents stood at ₦20.8 billion, slightly below the ₦21.9 billion at year-end 2025.
The company cited gas supply constraints and grid-related challenges as factors affecting its power segment. Its hospitality business, which includes the Transcorp Hilton Abuja and the Transcorp Centre, recorded a 21% growth in profit after tax. An interim dividend was declared alongside the results.
