Transcorp Reports N179.5 Billion Profit, Increases Dividend

Transcorp announced its 2025 audited financial results, revealing a pre-tax profit of N179.5 billion for the year ending December 31, 2025. This figure represents a 31.35% increase from the N136.67 billion profit recorded in 2024.

The profit before tax also rose from N135.91 billion in 2024, which was up from N94.09 billion in the prior year, reflecting stronger operational performance across its investment portfolio. The board has recommended a full-year dividend of N2.00 per share, which includes a 40 kobo interim dividend already paid and a proposed final dividend of N1.60 per share.

Chairman Tony O. Elumelu noted that the group's integrated energy strategy translates into measurable capacity growth, with Transcorp Power increasing its available capacity to 625MW and Transafam Power tripling its peak generation capacity to 270MW.

Group CEO Dr. Owen Omogiafo highlighted that the group closed the year with strong momentum, crossing the N1 trillion total assets milestone and achieving a 47% growth in shareholder funds.
