Troops Arrest Seven Suspected Drug Peddlers in Warri

On Wednesday, troops from the Nigerian Army, in collaboration with the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), conducted a raid in Warri, Delta State, targeting a suspected drug cartel. The operation took place in various locations, including Ugbomo, Uti Jakpa Road, and Ugbuwangu.

During the raid, seven individuals were apprehended on suspicion of drug peddling. The security team recovered assorted illicit substances, notably items suspected to be cannabis sativa.

The NDLEA has been tasked with further investigation and prosecution of the suspects as part of ongoing efforts to curb drug trafficking and combat crime in the region.
