Nigerian Troops Bust Illegal Arms Factory in Nasarawa, Arrest Suspect

Nigerian troops, as part of the Joint Task Force Operation Whirl Stroke, discovered an illegal arms manufacturing facility in Agwatashi Doma, Nasarawa State. The operation led to the arrest of Baba Ogar, a 26-year-old male from Arusu village in Kokona LGA, Nasarawa State.

Ogar was found hiding in a tree and attempting to flee. The troops recovered six locally made pistols, assorted tools, cash amounting to N40,500, and a mobile phone from the suspect.

Preliminary investigations revealed that the location served as an illegal arms factory supplying firearms to criminal elements within and outside the area. Efforts are ongoing to track down Ogar's accomplices who managed to escape.
