Troops Eliminate Notorious Bandit Commander Alti

Troops from the Nigerian Army successfully eliminated Alti, a notorious bandit commander, during a recent military operation in North West Nigeria. This operation, which took place along the Gusau-Funtua road, is reported to have dealt a major blow to the criminal network operating across Zamfara, Katsina, and parts of Sokoto State.

Alti had risen to prominence among armed bandit groups in the region, particularly around the southern Gusau area and Jibiya-Funtua stronghold. He was known for orchestrating kidnappings and ambushes, often using improvised explosive devices in attacks along key highways.

Alti had become a feared figure, even appearing in TikTok videos flaunting weapons and issuing threats. His elimination is expected to disrupt kidnapping syndicates and weaken loyal cells in the Zamfara-Katsina corridor, underscoring ongoing efforts to dismantle organized criminal networks in North West Nigeria.
