Troops of Operation Hadin Kai Kill 18 Terrorists in Borno

On Friday, troops of Operation Hadin Kai killed at least 18 terrorists in Borno State after disrupting a meeting of suspected high-profile insurgents at Tumbunma Baba. The operation was conducted following weeks of intelligence gathering that indicated senior terrorist elements were using the area as a meeting and logistics hub.

Cap. Mohammed Goni, the acting Military Information Officer of Operation Hadin Kai, stated that surveillance operations intensified after confirming the presence of terrorists.

The operation, which took place in the early hours of Friday, involved both air and ground components of the North-East Joint Task Force. Military aircraft targeted identified locations while ground troops blocked escape routes, successfully destroying structures and neutralizing over 18 terrorists.

An assessment post-operation indicated that approximately 85 percent of the objectives were achieved. Goni emphasized the effectiveness of intelligence-led operations and assured residents that efforts would continue to prevent terrorist activities in the region.
