Troops Neutralize Four Criminals, Rescue Kidnap Victims

Troops, under the command of Major General Mose Gara, conducted operations from May 24 to 31, 2026, resulting in the killing of four criminal suspects and the rescue of kidnap victims in Guma Local Government Area, Benue State. Lieutenant Ahmad Zubairu disclosed that troops responded to reports of gunmen attacking along the Gbajimba-Agasha road, where they found two injured residents and evacuated them to the primary health center in Gbajimba for medical treatment.

Additionally, troops launched a manhunt following the attack. In a separate incident in Taraba State, troops responded to an armed robbery along the Rafin Kada-Donga road, engaging in a gun battle that led to the neutralization of two armed robbers.

During this operation, troops recovered an AK-47 rifle, three magazines, ammunition, and N39,950 in cash.
