Nigerian Troops Eliminate Boko Haram Second-in-Command and 10 Fighters in Borno State

Nigerian military forces conducted a night operation in Sambisa Forest, Borno State, neutralizing Abu Khalid, the second-in-command of Boko Haram, along with 10 other terrorists. The operation, led by the Joint Task Force in the North East, recovered weapons, ammunition, bicycles, and food items.

Abu Khalid was a key figure in the terrorist hierarchy, coordinating operations and logistics in the Sambisa Axis. The troops sustained no casualties during the operation, maintaining high morale as they continue clearance operations in the region.

The military high command commended the troops for their dedication in the fight against terrorism and urged them to sustain the operational tempo until all terrorist elements are neutralized.
