Nigerian Troops Neutralize Four Terrorists in Zamfara

On April 29, troops from the Nigerian Army's 1 Brigade Quick Response Force (QRF) conducted operations in Zamfara State, specifically around the villages of Wonaka, Ajja, and Gidan Mai Aiki. During these operations, the troops engaged in a confrontation with terrorists, resulting in the neutralization of four individuals.

The troops utilized superior firepower during the encounter, which led to the recovery of two AK-47 rifles, a locally fabricated handgun, five magazines, and 280 rounds of 7.62mm special ammunition. Additionally, several terrorist camps were destroyed during the operation.

The report, released on Friday from Abuja, indicated that troop morale remains high, and operations will continue to sustain pressure on criminal elements in the region.
