Troops Eliminate Two ISWAP Terrorists in Yobe State

On May 27, 2023, troops from the 27 Task Force Brigade, in collaboration with members of the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF) and local hunters, successfully neutralized two suspected Boko Haram/ISWAP terrorists during an ambush operation in the Gujba Local Government Area of Yobe State. The operation commenced at 4:00 PM, following credible intelligence regarding the movement of the suspected terrorists around Kasaicia Village, located off the Damaturu-Buni Yadi road.

The troops engaged the terrorists during the ambush, resulting in the death of two insurgents. Additionally, the troops recovered two AK-47 rifles and empty magazines from the scene.

The overall security situation in the area remains fluid, but troop morale and efficiency in the fight against insurgency are reported to be high.
