Troops Neutralize Three Bandits in Katsina Operation

On March 4 at 4:14 PM, troops from Operation Fansan Yanma engaged in a gun battle with bandits in Sabuwa Local Government Area, Katsina State. The confrontation began when bandits attacked 34-year-old farmer Alaramma Lawal Musa at his farm in Barkinshi Village.

Musa resisted the attack, resulting in him being stabbed, while the bandits inflicted serious machete cuts. Troops stationed at Super Camp Machika were alerted and swiftly mobilized to the scene, intercepting the fleeing bandits.

During the exchange of fire, three suspected bandits were neutralized, while others escaped into nearby bushes. The troops recovered a Honda motorcycle believed to be used by the bandits.

The injured farmer was evacuated to a hospital for medical attention. Security operations in the area have intensified, with patrols and surveillance aimed at tracking down the remaining members of the gang, as Operation Fansan Yanma continues its military offensive against banditry in the northwest region.
