Troops Rescue Five Victims from Bandit Attack in Zamfara

On March 29, at 8:25 PM, troops from the 1 Brigade Counter Terror Unit were deployed to respond to a reported bandit attack in the Sabon Gida area of Gusau Local Government, Zamfara State. Upon arrival, the troops made contact with the bandits and engaged in a firefight, which resulted in the bandits withdrawing and abandoning five victims.

Among the rescued individuals was one who had sustained gunshot wounds. Following the encounter, the troops recovered the victims at the scene and subsequently evacuated the injured individual to a medical facility for treatment.

This operation highlights the ongoing efforts of the military to combat banditry and ensure the safety of civilians in the region.
