Troops Kill Over 50 ISWAP Terrorists in Buni Gari Attack

Troops from Operation Hadin Kai successfully repelled an attack by suspected ISWAP terrorists on Buni Gari, neutralizing over 50 insurgents. The assault began at approximately 2:00 AM on Thursday, with heavily armed terrorists attempting to overrun military positions.

Lieutenant Colonel Sani Uba reported that the troops displayed superior combat power and tactical discipline, inflicting heavy casualties on the attackers, who were forced to retreat. The operation resulted in the recovery of significant military equipment, including eight AK-47 rifles, two general-purpose machine guns, and three improvised explosive devices.

Additionally, intelligence reports indicated that 20 additional bodies were discovered along the terrorists' withdrawal route near Gashua and Azar Kamuya. The air component of Operation Hadin Kai played a critical role by providing intelligence and conducting precise airstrikes against fleeing insurgents.

Despite the successful operation, two soldiers were reported to have sustained injuries and received medical attention.
