Troops Rescue 10 NECO Candidates from ISWAP in Borno

Troops operating under the military operation Hadin Kai rescued 10 candidates of the National Examinations Council (NECO) who were abducted by suspected ISWAP terrorists in Lassa, Askira Uba Local Government Area, Borno State. Captain Moham Goni disclosed that the military intensified efforts to rescue the remaining victims and track down those responsible for the attack.

Following reports of the incident, the security forces launched an immediate search and rescue operation, deploying strike aircraft and intelligence surveillance reconnaissance platforms to support ground troops. The operation led to a fierce gun battle with the terrorists, resulting in the successful rescue of the 10 victims, who are currently receiving necessary care and support.

The military reported that seven motorcycles were captured during the encounter. However, a member of the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF) lost their life during the exchange of fire.

The military emphasized the need for public vigilance and the importance of providing credible information to security agencies.
