Troops Rescue 12 Kidnap Victims in Plateau, Taraba

On April 15, 2026, troops from the combat support infantry battalion conducted a patrol operation in the Dajin Madam Kumbodoro forest area, located in Plateau and Taraba states. During this operation, they encountered 12 individuals who had reportedly escaped from their kidnappers.

The victims fled into the forest in search of safety as the troops approached. Following their rescue, the individuals were taken into custody by a security team for proper identification and necessary procedures.

Efforts are ongoing to track down the kidnappers to prevent further attacks in the area. The information regarding the rescue was disclosed by security analyst Zagazola Makama in a post shared on Thursday.
