Troops Rescue Three Abducted Victims in Kogi State

On March 3, 2023, troops from the Nigerian Army successfully rescued three individuals who had been abducted by unknown gunmen in Ajaokuta, Kogi State. The incident took place around 6:00 PM when Abdulwahab Musa, Idowu Ibekunl, and two others were attacked near a forest while traveling in a maroon Toyota Previa with registration number MUE 689 AE.

Following the attack, the troops, in collaboration with joint security forces, deployed to the area and conducted systematic bush combing operations based on intelligence. This resulted in the safe recovery of three victims: Fede Onza Ayuba and Mr.

Joi Fide, both residents of Anyigba, while Idowu Ibekunl remains unaccounted for. The rescued victims provided statements to security personnel, who continue to search for the remaining abductee and monitor the area to prevent further incidents.
