Troops Arrest Gunrunner, Uncover Arms Factory in Kaduna

On April 22, 2026, at approximately 5:00 PM, troops conducted a successful operation in the Gidan Waya community of Jama Local Government Area, Kaduna State, aimed at flushing out illicit weapons and criminal activities. The operation, led by Captain Polycap Oteh, resulted in the arrest of two suspects involved in the manufacturing of sophisticated firearms.

During the raid, troops seized a substantial cache of weaponry and industrial equipment used for illegal arms production. The recovered items included two AK-47 rifles, one G3 rifle, and a variety of manufacturing tools such as two generator sets, welding machines, drill machines, hand fillers, and a comprehensive technical toolbox.
