Truck Accident Claims Life of Vulcaniser in Ogun State

On Wednesday, a tragic road accident occurred along the Ewekoro section of the Lagos-Abeokuta Expressway in Ogun State, resulting in the death of a vulcaniser who was fixing a tyre by the roadside. The Ogun State Traffic Compliance Enforcement Agency spokesperson, Babatunde Akinbiyi, reported that the accident involved a Howo truck and a diesel truck.

The Howo truck was stationary while the vulcaniser was repairing its tyre when a diesel truck, which had suffered a tyre burst, lost control and collided with the stationary truck. The crash resulted in the death of the vulcaniser, whose body was deposited at the morgue of a general hospital in Ifo.

Additionally, two other individuals, including the driver and an assistant, sustained injuries and were taken to a general hospital for treatment. Eyewitnesses indicated that the accident occurred near the Lafarge First Gate in Ewekoro.
