Truck Crash at Kwara Market Causes Panic and Injuries

On Thursday, a truck lost control and crashed into multiple vehicles at Ganmo Market along the Ilorin-Ajas Ipo Federal Highway in Ifelodun Local Government Area, Kwara State, around 5 PM. Eyewitnesses reported that the crash involved at least seven vehicles, including the truck, two private cars, two tricycles, and a commercial motorcycle.

Although no lives were lost, several individuals sustained varying degrees of injuries. Suraju Ayo, who was riding a motorcycle, recounted his experience, stating he narrowly escaped being crushed by the truck.

Another eyewitness, Temitop Rukayyat, described hearing a loud noise and witnessing the chaotic aftermath. Sara Abdullateef detailed how the incident caused widespread panic, forcing traders and passersby to flee for safety.

The Nigeria Police Force's Ganmo division quickly mobilized to the scene to restore order, while sympathizers assisted the injured victims. The truck driver fled the scene, leaving behind wreckage and injured individuals.
