Truck Accident in Ogun State Claims Two Lives

On Monday, a fatal accident occurred at approximately 7:00 AM on the Sagamu-Ikorodu Expressway in the Ogijo area of Ogun State, where a Volvo truck loaded with iron rammed into a stationary vehicle. Babatunde Akinbiyi, spokesperson for the Ogun State Traffic Compliance Enforcement Agency, reported that the crash involved three occupants of the Volvo truck, with the driver sustaining injuries.

The Volvo truck, registered as LND 936 XC, fled the scene after the incident. The bodies of the deceased were deposited at a morgue in Sagamu, while traffic was partially affected as police worked to clear the accident site.

Akinbiyi also provided a separate traffic update regarding another incident where a truck overturned along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, injuring two individuals but resulting in no fatalities.
