Trump made these remarks during an interview with Axios, stating that the U.S. should have a role in choosing Iran's next leader following the recent killing of the elder Khamenei in an airstrike. In response, Iranian Foreign Minister Abba Araghchi took to social media to denounce the U.S. plans, labeling them as a failure and asserting that any alternative strategy would be an even greater failure.
